And so the end of the year draws near. And what a year it has been. From one-man show, to a cast of many. In the last blog of the year we look back at some of our favourite moments from our first year in business.

Welcome to the Classic Car Mechanics highlight reel!

ree

2 Bristols with the gang from the garage. Siobhan, Dr Ray and young Chris.

Shrimp eye Justin readies himself for the old 'bunch-of-flowers-from-behind-the-back' trick.

ree

Just one of the many many many many vehicles that Doctor Ray purchased this year. This one an immaculate DT175 from the era when mullets and sports casual wear was the thing round my way

ree

One of the very first shots of the garage about to fire into life. Dr Ray's 'moonwalk' would inspire Shrimp eye Justin to take things to the next level.

ree

The Range Rover needed counselling after this....

ree

Green. Brash. American. Ramp one struggles to hold heavy metal. Massive motoring variety has been our theme in 2021

ree

Doctor Ray with the torque-iest drill in the tool chest. 3 seconds after this shot was taken, the drill jammed and then spun Dr Ray around at 50 rpm. (One of his shoes flew off)

ree

The winds of change. The morning after the big curry night. Eric and Shrimp eye come back from a quick walk to the quiet end of the compound. All inside the garage were grateful.

ree

Shrimp eye elbows deep in complicated stuff. Meanwhile Alfie has dropped his water dowsing rods.

ree

One of this year's absolute favourites. The Borgward Isabella.

ree

The gang expands further as Will (I ain't) joins the team. This is a gearbox. (I've become much more adept at recognising major car components)

ree

We don't just do cars. Classic caravan anyone? Step right this way. (Shrimp eye Justin had a neck ache for a week after this little balancing trick)

ree

Dr Ray's first entry in the workshop accident book. 'Attacked by Jaguar'. (Actually, I'm not sure it's a Jaguar....but it works better with the caption if it is)

ree

The Morris Minor Million.... an absolute fave from 2021. Original colour. Limited edition. Loved and cared for by all.

ree

Car modding and youthful inspiration. Izzi gets busy with her own whip. Lowering springs are planned. (I wonder if she'll remove the exhaust like my eldest has.....lord above )

ree

Ingrid is smiling an accepting smile as Eric wraps up another 'workshop essential'. After this stunt Ingrid hit Eric's wallet in Plymouth. 'That should stop him' she thought. (It didn't)

ree

We moved in and it felt like there was loads of space. Today, this is our definition of 'loads of space'. Normally there's at least 2 more cars in view.

ree

We hired security for our Christmas meal. This is what the agency sent us. (We've asked for a refund)

There were just too many quality moments from 2021 to do it full justice here. It's been a hulluva year.

A huge thank you to all our suppliers and most importantly our loyal customers.

We look forward to seeing you and your classic in 2022.

A very happy new year from Eric, Siobhan, Tasha, Dr Ray, Shrimp-eye Justin, Young Chris, Izzi, Ingrid, Alfie and Will (I aint)

Olli
