There is something about the sound old British Sports cars make when they are going properly that does something to your insides! That's why I have been the proud owner of MG Midgets, a MGB and now my Lotus which I bought in very good condition in 2002. I stopped running it 5 years ago and it just sat in my old leaky garage becoming a terrible damp mess.

After contacting Eric he got to work quickly. It was an open ended exploration because neither of us knew the extent of the problems. But he'd constantly text reassuring photos of his work so I could see how necessary it was.
Working on it constantly for a month, he freed the brakes up replacing the discs and calipers, replaced the flywheel of the badly corroded clutch and did a lot of work on the electrics. He got hold of quite a few hard to find parts, replacing the rear axle with an uprated cv joint based axle which is a much better enhancement. When replacements couldn't be found for the shock absorber mountings he actually fabricated them by welding steel into the right shape.
As an individual Eric is brilliant to deal with – great fun and I totally trust him. I have already booked him to carry out the major task of replacing the moisture damaged teak dashboard with a fabricated one.

He is value for money. If a job ends up harder than originally thought you don’t end up with a massive bill for hours of work you were not expecting. Eric sticks to the quote, picking up most of the cost which is amazing. I know full well he has spent more hours fabricating replacement parts than he actually charged me. The same goes for my modern car.
I recently got a ridiculous quote to get my brake master cylinder repaired on my Mondeo. He was able to get the part and complete the job considerably cheaper.

The thing is Eric loves working on cars, especially old cars and I can see he gets very enthusiastic and excited about the whole process. Because of that he does a good job. I have no qualms about employing him in the future.
